Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research and The International Development Research Center announce the following positions for applicants who are citizens of the following Asian countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Three Visiting Doctoral Student Fellowships @ INR 26000 per month, open for applicants registered for full time Ph.D. in Economics on a topic broadly involving Labor Market and Industrial Policy, for a maximum period of twelve months during which candidates need to complete at least one major essay of their theses.
Two Post-Doctoral Fellowships @ INR 50000 per month, open to newly graduated Ph.D. candidates (within two years of successful submission of their dissertations) or junior faculty with Ph.D.in Economics, preferably with special emphasis on Labor Market and Industrial Policy, available for one year and extendable by another year to those who are preferably within the age limit of 35 years. Grantees will be expected to produce at least two working papers per year.
All the selected candidates will receive the applicable medical coverage, book grants, conference travel funding, accommodation, and one round trip economy fare.
