Full Text of JOE Listing:

Primary Purpose:
Teach undergraduate courses in economics, provide service to the students, College, University, and support the economic development mission of the College and University. The position will begin August 17, 2015. The position is for one-year with renewal subject to funding and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching (80%) Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Economic Issues with the possibility of upper
* division electives or an online class as needed by the department.
* Service (20%) – To include service to the students, College, and University, as well as service to the community and the profession.
* The workload distribution above simply serves as a guideline. Adjustments may be made in cooperation with the faculty member, at the discretion of the Dean and Department Chair.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Economics, or closely related field, from a regionally accredited university. Candidates should have evidence of significant, high quality teaching. The candidate should have independently taught at least one undergraduate economics course.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Economics, or closely related field, from a regionally accredited university. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate will be considered. The preferred candidate will have experience teaching two or more different undergraduate economics classes.
