The School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs (SPPUA) and the Department of Economics at Northeastern University, seeks exceptional applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Professor of the Practice position with an expected start date of Fall 2020. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished scholarly record with extensive experience conducting policy-relevant economic analysis, an established capacity for developing researcher-practitioner partnerships, and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and leadership. Required qualifications includes a Ph.D. in Economics or Public Policy with substantial course work in economic theory and econometrics at the doctorate level as well as a minimum of five years of work experience post-Ph.D. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and applied research interests in one or more of the following areas: inequality, sustainability and resilience, health, education, housing, and workforce development.
