Description
The Department of Economics at Swarthmore College invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor.

We seek candidates with the demonstrated ability to teach both introductory economics and courses in their research specialization. Specializations in any aspect of global or ethnic studies are of particular interest, but all fields will be considered. Starting with the fall semester of 2020, this is a one-year appointment with the possibility for reappointment. Salary commensurate with experience. The course load is 4 courses per year (2 per semester).

Located in the suburbs roughly 10 miles west of Philadelphia and just 20 miles from Wilmington, Delaware, Swarthmore College is a highly selective liberal arts college whose mission combines academic rigor with social responsibility. The Economics Department is one of the strongest liberal-arts departments in the country, with 13 tenure-track faculty. Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD completed by August 2020.
