Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Office of the State Deputy Comptroller (OSDC) for the City of New York helps the Comptroller fulfill his obligation to oversee the finances of the City of New York.

Duties include monitoring economic trends and assessing the impact on NYC revenue collections as well as overseeing the production of reports on the condition of NYC's finances, employment sectors, regional economies and other issues. Develop independent revenue forecasts to assess the reasonableness of the forecasts presented in the City’s financial plan. The Senior Economist will be supervising a staff of analysts that identifies, researches and analyzes economic, budgetary and public policy issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
•A PhD in macroeconomics with a focus on labor and regional economic policy issues.
•A minimum of 3 years of experience in public sector economic analysis, including experience managing staff in the production of reports and other analysis.
•Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with software such as SAS, IMPLAN and Tableau.
•Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to adhere to time constraints with a high degree of independence
