The University of Cologne, Germany, invites applications for a tenured position in the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the Full Professor (W3) level.

Full Professor (W3) in Design & Behaviour (Tenured)

The University of Cologne is one of the largest universities in Germany. It conducts internationally competitive research and covers a wide range of subjects. With its six faculties and its interfaculty centres, it offers a broad spectrum of academic disciplines and internationally outstanding profile areas. The position is based in the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, which is consistently ranked among the top schools in research and teaching and co-hosts the Cluster of Excellence “ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy”. The position will be integrated into the University’s “Center for Social and Economic Behavior” (C-SEB.de).

The position is available immediately or based on mutual agreement.

The research focus of candidates should be in Market Design, in Behavioural Economics or in other fields that are related to Applied Microeconomics, including Computer or Data Science, and strengthen the research activities of the “Center for Social and Economic Behavior”. An outstanding track record of research published in leading journals is expected. Successful candidates can fulfil teaching obligations in a wide range of Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, in English or German.

The recruitment requirements according to Section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz – HG NRW) apply.
