Auburn University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of Industrial Organization, effective Fall 2022. A successful applicant must demonstrate strong research potential and the ability to engage in high-quality teaching. We are seeking candidates who will contribute to our graduate and undergraduate curriculum in industrial organization, regulatory economics, and microeconomics. The ability to work collaboratively with others in the department is also desirable.

The duties of this position include publishing research in peer-reviewed academic journals, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, and performing service for the department and the profession. A Ph.D. in economics must be completed prior to the start date.

All application materials must be received by December 7, 2021, to receive priority consideration, but we will keep accepting them until the position is filled. Representatives of the Department will schedule virtual meetings to interview potential candidates. The final appointment is contingent upon funding and performance. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
