The Economics Department at Marquette University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics beginning Fall 2022. Marquette is a Jesuit, Catholic, Doctoral/Research University (High Research Activity) committed to a teacher-scholar model and seeks candidates who will contribute to its mission (http://marquette.edu/about/mission.shtml) and are dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will have demonstrated research and teaching interests focusing on macroeconomics, monetary/financial economics or economic growth. (JEL codes listed). Applicants must demonstrate strong empirical skills, a promising research agenda, and be committed to excellence in teaching at the graduate (MS in Applied Economics, MS in Finance) and undergraduate levels. Applicants should state their interest and qualifications for teaching courses related to their research focus in a cover letter.

The department offers AACSB-accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics and Business. Teaching load is 2/2 in the first year and 3/2 thereafter, with possible course reductions related to research productivity. The candidate is expected to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and perform service to the department, college, and university.
