AEA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion

The American Economic Association has established an annual AEA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion to recognize departments and organizations that demonstrate outstanding achievement in diversity and inclusion practices.

To apply, send materials to info@csmgep.org with the subject line, "AEA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion". Applications are due by 11 pm ET on November 30. 

Departmental Seed Grants for Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion

The American Economic Association and its Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession (CSMGEP) have established an annual Departmental Seed Grants for Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion.

To apply, send materials to info@csmgep.org with the subject line, "AEA Departmental Seed Grant". Applications are due by 5 pm ET on the second Friday of October. 

The Andrew Brimmer Undergraduate Essay Prize

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the American Economic Association and its Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession (CSMGEP) have established the annual Andrew Brimmer Undergraduate Essay Prize.

To apply, send materials to info@csmgep.org with the subject line, "Andrew Brimmer Undergraduate Essay Prize". Applications are due by 5pm ET on the second Friday of October.

URM Travel Grants

The American Economic Association and its Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession (CSMGEP) have established annual URM Travel Grants. This award is open to junior economics faculty members from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the field of economics.

Small Group Breakfast Meeting for URM Scholars

The American Economic Association and its Committee on the Status of Minority Groups in the Economics Profession (CSMGEP) have established an annual Small Group Breakfast Meeting for Underrepresented Minorities.

Professional Development Grant for URM Faculty

Pearson Education is proud to partner with the American Economic Association to advance the career and professional development of Underrepresented Minorities (URM) in the field of economics. As part of this partnership, Pearson Education will fund a $2,000 grant to the winner of an essay competition detailing their research and how it relates to economics education.  The Professional Development Grant for URM Faculty award will be open to junior economics faculty members from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the field of economics.
