Professor Jonathan Gruber from MIT is hiring a full-time research assistant to begin in the summer of 2014 and work for one to two years.
Applicant would assist with health economics research and health insurance microsimulation modeling.
Candidates should have:
1. Strong background in applied microeconomics, including past research assistance experience
2. Strong interest in health care policy issues, and in using economics to address them
3. Extensive experience with STATA, or strong prior programming experience with other packages/languages
The position is located at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge Massachusetts, with the opportunity to interact with economics undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty from Harvard and MIT. Annual salary is $50,000, with benefits.
