The Department of Economics of the University of Bern invites applications for a full-time
Assistant-Professorship (tenure track) in environmental and climate economics
which is jointly founded by the Stiftung Mercator Schweiz and the University of Bern.
Candidates should possess outstanding academic qualifications and should have research interest in environmental and climate economics with a strong focus on empirical and or experimental research in particular. Close cooperation with the Oeschger Centre of Climate Research is expected. Duties involve research and teaching both at the graduate and executive level at the Department of Economics, at the Graduate School of Climate Science as well as at the Swiss School of Environmental and Energy Economics (SPEE). The language of instruction is English.
A doctoral degree in Economics is essential for this position. A strong research profile, manifested in publications in leading international journals is required as well as the ability to acquire external funds.
