The University of Colorado seeks to appoint a Full or Associate Professor of international acclaim to hold the position of J.P. Morgan Endowed Chair in Commodity Finance, Economics and Policy in the Business School at the Downtown Denver Campus.
The Endowed Chair will provide academic program and research leadership at the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities, which is funded by J.P. Morgan at the Business School, to include the following objectives:
(i)Attract and educate top-quality students on commodities markets
(ii)Conduct research and publish results to enhance the understanding of commodities in academia, industry, policy, media and the general public
(iii)Develop innovative programs for professionals and students
In addition to meeting the academic expectations of a Full Professor, the Chair will lead the first ever academic program focused on commodities.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Doctoral degree in Economics, Finance, Financial Economics or other commodities related fields.
-Established record of outstanding research, through publications in level academic journals. Publication as well as in highly regarded practitioner journals are also favorably regarded.
-Experience teaching commodity related courses in economics, finance, or other commodity related fields.
-Evidence of broad interest in commodities.
