The AVMA, a national nonprofit association representing over 84,000 veterinarians, is seeking an Economic Analyst for our newly formed Veterinary Economics Division located in Schaumburg, IL.
This newly created position will be responsible for managing & improving economic analysis and forecasting models of the market for veterinarians and veterinary services including demand analysis, workforce economics and public health. Will assist in all areas related to measuring the demand and supply for veterinary services and veterinarians including the development of surveys, constructing models of the markets for specific veterinary services, model documentation, and annual reports of model updates.
The qualified candidate will have an MS in statistics, economics, agricultural economics or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience, association experience is a plus. Must have a demonstrated knowledge of applied statistics, with significant experience in large-scale data analysis, demand analysis, and the modeling of markets. Must be proficient with statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS and STATA; have excellent written & verbal communication skills; enthusiasm, innovation, and proactive project management skills are a must. Some travel is required.
