Full Text of JOE Listing:
RTI Health Solutions, a business unit of RTI International, is currently seeking a Senior Research Economist to be located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. The position is part of the Health Preference Assessment (HPA) program which has a strong commitment to implementing state-of-the art research methods in a collegial working environment. We specialize in developing surveys to elicit and quantify preferences of patients, physicians, and other health-care stakeholders for features and outcomes of medical and pharmaceutical interventions using rigorous, utility-theoretic, stated-preference methods. These studies apply advanced preference-elicitation methods, including, but not limited to, discrete-choice experiments (also known as conjoint analysis), best-worst scaling, and contingent-valuation. The results of most HPA studies are published in top economics and clinical journals. HPA staff are internationally recognized thought leaders in this research area.

This hire will lead research projects involving conjoint analysis and discrete-choice experiments. Research leadership includes managing and actively participating in survey development, data analysis, and communicating study results to a variety of audiences, including study sponsors and academic researchers.
