Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking to fill a position in the Retail Risk Analysis Unit of the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Department (SRC). Our main areas of responsibility are bank supervision, supervisory policy consultation, credit risk modeling, and research related to banking and supervision.
Applicants with a background in applied micro-economics, empirical finance, banking, survival, panel and/or discrete choice analysis, and interested in developing a research agenda in the area of financial risk and banking are preferred. Primary responsibilities include conducting applied and policy research, econometric modeling of retail credit risk and bank capital, and advising senior management on issues related to financial stability and supervisory policy. The position may require participation in bank examinations which will involve some travel. In addition, the applicants must have a completed PhD or a firm expectation of defending their PhD by summer 2014.
Applicants for employment also must be U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or hold a permanent resident/green card with intent to become a U.S. Citizen.
