The successful candidate will be innovative, have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate capacity to enhance our programs and have an excellent record of teaching and scholarship.
Minimum Requirements:
An earned Ph.D. in economics is required, with a demonstrated record of teaching at the university or college level. Preference will be given to applicants with economics specialization in health care, industrial organization, public finance, and applied microeconomics. Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor is expected.
Teaching and Management Preferences:
1. Proven and documented success in undergraduate teaching and at the MBA level is highly desirable.
2. Conducts college-level courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, public finance, health care economics, labor economics and industrial organization.
3. Responsible for preparing curricula, face to face and/or on-line instructional materials.
4. Course assignments may be during the day or evenings and may include off-campus locations and online education.
5. Have a student-centered approach, be receptive and sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population, and be a team player--approachable to students, faculty, and other University staff.
