The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, invites qualified academics to apply for a faculty position as Associate Professor in the Division of Economics. Professor position may also be considered depending on proven research and academic track record.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics, an active research agenda and a proven track record in research and teaching at University level. All fields will be considered but preference will be given to the following areas:
--Applied Econometrics
--Behavioral and Experimental Economics
--Development Economics
--Environmental Economics
--Health Economics
--Microeconomics
--Macroeconomics
--Urban and Transport Economics
The Division of Economics is a major Division in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) and is host to the Economic Growth Centre and the Editorial Office of the Singapore Economic Review. It has over 30 faculty members involved in Theoretical and Applied Economics research who are research-active with a focus in Behavourial Economics, Economics of Social and Public Policy, and Econometrics.
Apart from having special interest in the Economies of China, Singapore, ASEAN and other East Asian countries, the faculty members have also served as consultants to the Singapore government and to international organizations such as the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Asian Development Bank. The Division offers undergraduate training leading to BA (Hons) in Economics and offers jointly with various Schools' double major and double degree programs, and graduate training leading to MA and PhD. The University offers competitive remuneration packages commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful candidate can expect generous support for research including grants for travel and conferences.
