The WSP seeks to recruit 2 experienced economists with excellent track record to lead regional economics programs.
The senior economists play a key role in knowledge production and management in helping WSP to achieve its goals to help the poor gain sustained access to water supply and sanitation services. The main responsibilities include leading key economic and analytic work and policy research initiatives on water economics, providing inputs to World Bank strategy development and programs, managing knowledge, and developing tailored products to support policy dialogue with client governments.
Selection criteria
Advanced degree (at least Masters level) in economics, business administration or similar field.
Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in applied economics in the areas of water, poverty, and institutional governance issues.
Demonstrated strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, project management, policy dialogue and client orientation.
