The Department of Economics at Rice University in Houston, TX invites applications for a full-time, limited-term Lecturer position, to begin at the start of the 2014 academic year. The initial one-year appointment is renewable for a second year contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Lecturers will teach in the undergraduate program, with an anticipated course load of four courses per academic year. Lecturers will be expected to make themselves available to students and to hold office hours. A Ph.D. in economics, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the introductory and advanced undergraduate levels, and teaching experience in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics or Econometrics are required.
