The Department of Planning, Public Policy & Management invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor in Public Administration/Policy, starting September 2014 and continuing through Fall, Winter and Spring quarters (ending mid-June, 2015).
Candidates should have a Ph.D. (ABD candidates also eligible) in Public Administration/Affairs/ Policy, Economics, Political Science or other closely related field. Teaching duties will include graduate Public Sector Economics, undergraduate and graduate Policy Analysis, Cost-Benefit Analysis, and a policy elective course that depends on the candidate's research interests. Although not required, a candidate who could teach an undergraduate Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector course or Leadership course would be preferred. Because this position requires teaching six quarter courses (equivalent to 4 semester courses), teaching excellence is very important.
