PhD Economist
Global Economics Group is seeking Full Time Economists to join its Antitrust/Competition Policy practice in Chicago. Candidates should have a PhD in Economics (or have sufficiently completed all PhD coursework) from a leading university. Economists will assist GlobalEcon's team in all aspects of its antitrust engagements, including mergers, monopolization and abuse of dominance, horizontal coordination and class certification.
Specific job requirements include:
* Excellent econometric skills
* Experience organizing and working with large datasets
* Good general analytical skills, including work with statistical software packages (SAS, STATA, etc.)
* Strong writing skills and ability to summarize technical work in (relatively) non-technical terms
* Concentration in industrial organization preferred, though not required
* Ability to organize and manage case projects and work under tight deadlines
