Pfizer's Global Economics team is housed within the Treasurer's Division, providing timely economic advice and analysis to internal clients in business development, strategy, corporate affairs, finance, and our operating units.
The group is responsible for:
--Developing global and regional economic forecasts and preparing monthly economic reports for the Executive Leadership Team
--Explaining the implications of forecasts and analysis to senior business leaders and colleagues proactively
--Supporting the finance team on potential responses to the economic environment
--Presenting on industry economics to external audiences including investors, policymakers, and others
The Senior Manager will contribute to all of these activities, with specific responsibility for:
--Conducting original quantitative and economic research to generate data-driven insights for use across Pfizer. Examples may include contributing to decisions in our investment portfolio or developing and researching potential new growth markets
--Gathering issuing quick-turnaround reports on high-frequency data and market developments
Qualifications:
-Ph.D. in Economics/Finance preferred, Master's in economics (including training in econometrics) or a related field required
-Some experience in a corporate or consulting setting; background as an economist at a bank or federal agency a plus
Skills Requirements:
-Track record developing economic models
-Excellent writing and presentation abilities
-Comfort presenting complex analyses to senior audiences clearly and articulately
