Bard College Berlin is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Economics (wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in) from January 2015 onwards. The successful applicant is expected to have a PhD in economics with a specialization in macroeconomics. Expertise in the fields of econometrics, behavioral economics, environmental and/or development economics will be advantageous. Bard College Berlin expects excellence in teaching and research and applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in the idea of liberal arts education. The course load will be three courses a year (6 SWS). The initial contract is for two years, with a salary equivalent to TV-L 13. Courses are taught mostly as seminars with student numbers around 10. The language of instruction is English. Upon successful evaluation in terms of teaching and research, the position can be extended.
