The New York Research Data Center (NYCRDC) seeks an Administrator with a PhD and an empirical research background. The NYCRDC is located at Baruch College in New York City. The NYCRDC provides researchers with the opportunity to engage in approved projects that use the restricted-access microdata collected by the U.S. Census Bureau, the National Center for Health Statistics, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
The responsibilities of the RDC Administrator include:
* helping NYCRDC researchers develop proposals for RDC-based research projects,
* overseeing the daily operation of the NYCRDC secure lab,
* conducting outreach presentations,
* maintaining an active research agenda, and
* a range of other administrative responsibilities.
The RDC Administrator will assist researchers from many disciplines including economics, sociology, demography, geography, political science, and medicine. Knowledge of social science research methodology is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Stata or SAS, excellent written and oral communication skills, and will be highly organized. The RDC Administrator is required to be a U.S. citizen.
