The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas, is looking for a qualified candidate to lead a team of commercial analysts and economists. This team provides in-house consulting on a variety of issues including oil and gas resource and property evaluation and policy analysis for decision makers within the Division, for the Commissioner of Natural Resources, and the Alaska Legislature on behalf of the administration.
The leader of this team has a significant role negotiating commercial terms in lease and unit agreements, purchase and sale contracts for the State's royalty in-kind, and the many agreements that will needed for the successful development of the Alaska North Slope LNG Project.
A college degree(s) and experience in a field related to the commercial behavior of firms in petroleum industry including Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Law, Engineering or Natural Resource Management is required. A minimum five years' experience working in the industry is preferred. Applicants need excellent analytical and communication skills, proven team leadership, demonstrated ability to achieve results, and proven ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
