The DGOBC seeks an empirical Ph.D in economics. The economist will be expected to conduct research and advise to policy makers on policies pertinent to financial market analysis and central bank operations. Requirements include a Ph.D. in economics, demonstrated applied research capability, and strong written and oral communications skills in both English and Spanish. Demonstrated interest in central banking, money and interest rate, exchange rates, asset pricing, investment analysis, financial forecasting are preferred. Knowledge on simulation and financial econometrics are highly desirable.
We will be interviewing selected candidates at the January 2015 ASSA meetings in Boston.
