The Department of Economics at Fairfield University invites applications for an approved full-time tenure-track position at the assistant professor level. The department's primary interest is in the area of macroeconomics; expertise in monetary institutions is a plus. The successful candidate will teach upper-level undergraduate courses in economics, and share in the department's commitment to teaching introductory economics courses that satisfy requirements in the University's core curriculum. A Ph.D. in economics, completed by August 2015, along with an active research program and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, including a demonstrated commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom, are required.
