Elmira College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in finance for the Fall of 2015. The College introduced a new major and a finance trading room in 2014. The finance major joins majors in accounting, economics, and business administration in the growing Business and Economics Division.

Responsibilities include teaching courses in Corporate Finance, Investments I and II, Portfolio Management and other courses as necessary; overseeing the operation and staffing of the finance trading room, and curriculum development and assessment of the finance major, minor, and specialization.

Applicants should possess a PhD in finance, economics with an emphasis on finance, or a DBA with an emphasis on finance from an AACSB accredited institution. Teaching experience that includes the use of a dedicated finance trading room would be a significant advantage. Appropriate scholarship is expected.

Elmira College, the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies, is a small, well-established, residential, comprehensive college in the Finger Lakes region of New York State (county population 80,000).
