The Department of Economics, Uppsala University invites applications for one assistant professor position beginning no later than September 2015. The opening is for a general research position with limited teaching. We particularly encourage applicants within public economics or macroeconomics.

The Department is a highly committed research department with full scale graduate and undergraduate programs within Scandinavia’s oldest university, conveniently located only 20 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda International airport. Applicants must have a PhD in Economics received after January 1, 2011, or with expected completion no later than September 2015. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the ASSA meetings in Boston. Other arrangements may be possible for short-listed candidates not based in the US and not planning to attend the meetings.
