Facebook is seeking econometricians to join the Data Science team in either the statistics or economics research groups.
Econometricians in the Statistics and Decision Science group develop and disseminate innovative inference, modeling, and visualization tools to promote data-driven decision making across the company. The ideal candidate will thrive at this intersection of software engineering and methodology research, possessing a passion for elegant, high performance, and scalable implementations of statistical/visual techniques that provide reliable insights in high impact applications spanning Facebook's internal and external products. We are also looking for our first econometrician to join the economic research group at Facebook. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in empirical IO (demand estimation, pricing, structural modeling) or time series modeling (forecasting, dynamic modeling) and wants to design and drive the statistical modeling and inference for a broad range of research projects across the team (market design, behavioral, IO, networks, macro, etc.).
