The Research Department of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is looking for an economist/econometrician, with a strong profile in macro-economics.
The Research Department is part of the Economics and Research Division (Ebo). Ebo's work covers a wide range of policy and research subjects. Topics within our sphere of interest are: monetary strategy, business cycles, and price stability; financial stability and macroprudential supervision; micro-prudential supervision and conduct of financial institutions; financial literacy and behaviour of households and companies. Ebo is also engaged in building econometric models which are used for forecasting and policy evaluation.
Job description
- Contributing to DNB's Research Plan (see http://www.dnb.nl/en/binaries/306175_DNB%20Research%20programme%202014.pdf for the 2014 plan).
- Contributing to the policy-related work of the Research Department
- Formulating policy implications of research outcomes
- Writing contributions for scientific journals
- Giving presentations
Requirements
- PhD in econometrics or economics with a strong background in macro-economics
- Outstanding study results

Ebo Division profile
The Economics and Research Division has three departments: Monetary Policy, Economic Policy and Research. The Research Department employs about 30 economists, more than a third of which come from abroad. The division provides a collegial working environment, as well as many possibilities to participate in academic conferences, research networks and training facilities. It also offers opportunities for job rotation within the division and secondment to international organisations, such as the European Central Bank or the International Monetary Fund.
