The Economic Analysis and Forecasting Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis seeks to hire a Ph.D. economist with expertise in analyzing microeconomic labor market data and a strong interest in policy analysis. The Department provides current economic analysis, forecasting, and policy advice to the Bank’s president, Board of Directors, and senior management. The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience using microeconomic datasets to provide thoughtful insights into labor market and macroeconomic performance. In addition, the candidate must have good communication skills in translating technical material to both economists and noneconomists. While the publication of independent research is encouraged, the primary focus of this position is on economic and policy analysis. We will consider both new Ph.D.s and experienced candidates.

Candidates should provide their curriculum vitae and a recent research paper or other writing sample demonstrating expertise in analyzing and communicating about microeconomic data relevant to the labor market.
