The Master in Public Administration Program in Economic Policy Management (PEPM) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs is seeking an adjunct instructor for one of its core courses, Econometric Techniques for Policy Managers.
The course is taught in the PEPM fall semester from September through December and covers multiple regression models, the assumptions necessary to make statistical inference from these models, and the problems that occur when these assumptions are violated. In addition to multiple regression the course covers topics in Panel Data Analysis, Instrumental Variables, Limited Dependent Variables and Time Series Analysis. Time permitting, the course also examines the application of these techniques to program evaluation.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics; demonstrated success in graduate school teaching strongly preferred. Applicants should upload a resume, letter of interest and contact information for three references, and any teaching evaluations, if available, to JOE by December 31, 2014.
