The Master in Public Administration Program in Economic Policy Management (PEPM) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs is seeking an adjunct instructor for one of its core courses, Macroeconomics I.

The course is taught in the PEPM introductory summer semester from early June through mid-August. It is intended to (i) develop the basis for a thorough understanding on how an open economy works at the aggregate level and (ii) build a framework that facilitates rigorous analysis of different government policies and shocks on the economy. Topics covered include National and International Accounts, Goods Market Equilibrium, Exchange Rates and Foreign Exchange Markets, Introduction to Money and Monetary Policy, Money Market Equilibrium, Exchange Rate Regimes and Monetary Policy, Macroeconomic Policies in The Short and Long Run.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics and significant public or private sector experience in economic policy or applied macroeconomics; demonstrated success in graduate school teaching strongly preferred.
