Open Rank Professors of Development Economics and/or Public Administration and Public Policy

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI), a non-profit, independent institute for learning and research in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Public Administration, is being established in Doha, Qatar. The DI is anticipated to launch its first academic year in the Fall semester of 2015.

The DI is inviting applications for five full time faculty positions. In particular the DI seeks research-active academics of all professorial ranks in the fields of Development Economics and Public Administration and Policy, with a focus on the Arab world.
Successful candidates are expected to have:
• A PhD degree from a reputable university
• A track record in post-graduate teaching
• Ability to teach in Arabic
• Active publications and research records commensurate with the rank applied for
• Experience in the supervision of Masters’ theses
The DI ( www.dohainstitute.edu.qa) offers an internationally competitive salary and benefits, teaching load, and annual research budget. Chosen candidates are expected to start their duties no later than June 2015.
