CAF is a multilateral financial institution that promotes sustainable development and regional integration in Latin America (more information at www.caf.com).

We are currently seeking a country Economists for Brazil. This is a great opportunity to be part of a multi-skilled and multicultural economic team that is responsible for the interpretation of the main trends in macroeconomics to detect potential risks and opportunities for CAF intervention, and participate in the analysis and design of CAF’s country strategies.

We are interested in Economists whose recent experience include the analysis of macroeconomic trends in Brazil, forecasting of key economic variables, determinants of long term growth, fiscal and financial sustainability, international finance and microeconomic analysis of key economic sectors.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Economics with a Masters or a PhD in the field and the capacity to conduct applied research on the indicated topics. Excellent communication and analytical skills are required. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and English is essential.

This position will be located at CAF office in Brasilia and will report to the Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Studies and to the Head of the Office in Brazil.
