Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Fiscal Research Center and the Center for State and Local Finance (of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University) are hiring a senior research associate. Key responsibilities involve research, analysis and evaluation of Georgia state tax policies, including helping develop the Georgia state tax expenditure budget, preparing fiscal notes for tax bills, and drafting reports and briefs on key issues in state and local finance. An ideal candidate will have a doctorate in economics or a related field and the ability to review, research and analyze state tax policies, manipulate large data sets, and conduct statistical analysis at a sophisticated level. Candidate must also have excellent writing and oral presentation skills. The position is sponsor funded.
