Division Director Economics and Business

The Division of Economics and Business invites nominations and applications for a full-time Division Director. The Division Director will lead a world-class faculty and staff in maintaining and enhancing the department’s reputation. He or she will teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate level, work with the faculty, government, and industry supporters to develop externally funded research programs, and develop and maintain strong ties to the public and private sector. He or she will also work with the Mines Foundation to generate funding for Division and College initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to extend the current strengths of the Division by working to enhance faculty diversity.

Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in economics or business, a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service, and the national and international professional reputation commensurate with appointment to full Professor with tenure. Leadership experience is essential. Preference will be given to applicants with excellent interpersonal skills, administrative experience, experience managing a diverse set of programs and faculty, evidence of a commitment to diversity, and demonstrated ability to generate the resources that would further the goals of the Division. Experience in a STEM-type environment is highly desired.
