The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a qualified candidate to fill the position of Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow for a two-year, fixed-term, exempt appointment. This position will report to IFPRI’s Director for Africa. This position is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Essential Duties:
• Conducting innovative research and a regular analysis of continental and regional trends in agricultural trade by African countries and leading the production of an annual agricultural trade trends and outlook report.
• Providing strong research leadership in developing new ideas into proposals

Required Qualifications:
• PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Social Science or closely related field
• 5-9 years of post-PhD experience gained in relevant employment
