The Sports and Econometrics group at the Swiss Institute of Empirical Economic Research at the University of St. Gallen (coordinated by Prof. Michael Lechner) offers a post-doc position with focus on Sports Economics and Econometrics (and its links to labour and health economics). The position starts in mid-2015 and is initially for 2 years (an up to 3 year performance based extension as well as a promotion to Assistant Professor is possible). The position provides an active international research environment and a competitive salary.

A successful applicant will hold a recent PhD or doctorate in Economics or Econometrics. She or he will have a profound background in econometrics and will show the credentials for a future successful career in academics. The position entails active participation in the research projects conducted by the Sports and Econometrics group as well as developing an independent research agenda. Good German language skills are an advantage.
