Education Analytics, Inc., is a non-profit organization based in Madison, Wisconsin, that uses data analysis to inform education policy decisions. We are seeking a full-time Research Scientist with a Ph.D. in economics, public policy, statistics, or education, with specializations in applied econometrics and statistics, in the economics of education, and/or in education policy. The successful candidate will develop statistical models for education policy applications, work with analysts and programmers at EA on implementing these models, and communicate and collaborate with state and local education agencies and other EA clients. Knowledge of multilevel/hierarchical models is desirable. Recent EA projects include measuring value-added and student growth in multiple states and collaborating with other research firms on a study of teacher preparation and early teacher effectiveness.
