The Congressional Research Service (CRS), a valued and respected resource on Capitol Hill for more than a century, seeks an Analyst in Public Finance to join the Finance and Taxation Section of its Government and Finance Division.

The analyst will provide objective public policy analysis and consultation to congressional committees, Members of Congress, and their staff, including preparing objective, non-partisan, analytical studies and descriptive and background reports on public policy issues of national significance; providing personal consultation and assistance on issues throughout the legislative process; and participating in multi-disciplinary team research projects and seminars. Applicants with previous experience providing sophisticated economic analysis to congressional staff and Members, and applicants with publications in leading scholarly journals on public finance are especially encouraged to apply.
