The School of Public Policy (SPP) at the University of California – Riverside (UCR) is searching for a post-doctoral researcher in the area of water economics and policy to work under the supervision of Professor Ken Baerenklau and in collaboration with other SPP and UCR faculty. The successful candidate will have a PhD in economics, agricultural economics, or a closely related field, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the potential or demonstrated ability to conduct independent quantitative research in the area of water economics and policy. Candidates with experience using mathematical programming and/or statistical models to investigate questions related to urban and/or California water policy are highly desired. Candidates with the potential or demonstrated ability to work within and contribute to a diverse campus environment are strongly encouraged to apply. The initial appointment will be for one year with the opportunity to extend the appointment for an additional two years, pending positive performance reviews and the availability of funding.
