This senior-level hire in Finance at the rank of Professor (or Associate Professor), beginning August 2016, is available to those distinguished faculty members who hold a Ph.D. in finance or related field. At minimum the candidate should have an MBA with an emphasis in finance. Preference will be given to candidates committed to supporting strategic college initiatives, including collaborative scholarship with undergraduate students and global learning opportunities. All candidates must have an outstanding track record of teaching excellence and a strong commitment to undergraduate education in a liberal arts setting. Candidates will be reviewed for tenure prior to final appointment.

Position Description: The Professor of Finance and Donald T. Butler Endowed Chair is responsible for teaching upper-level courses in finance to undergraduate students, and may also offer other departmental or institutional courses as appropriate. In addition to teaching, all faculty at Central College are expected to participate in the life of the college and to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional development. The Donald T. Butler Endowed Chair is one of eight endowed chairs at Central College.
