The Faculty of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor who will conduct research in the field of Econometrics. This position is open to anyone who is undertaking research in any area of theoretical and/or applied econometrics. The appointment will start in September 2017, or April 2018 depending on the appointee’s availability. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by the time their appointment starts at Keio. Teaching responsibility includes at most two statistics or econometrics related classes at the undergraduate or graduate levels per week in each semester. The classes are taught in English. No administrative duties will be assigned during the tenure-track period.

This position is supported by a grant from the “Top Global University Project”, a funding project launched in 2014 by the Japanese government, where Keio University was selected for the Top Type (Type A) Category, which is reserved for world-class universities that have the potential to rank among the world’s top 100 universities within the next 10 years. Once the deadline has passed, a review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. We will contact suitably qualified applicants and conduct Skype interviews in December 2016. We will invite qualified applicants to Japan for a final interview in January 2017.
