Full Text of JOE Listing:
Role will provide leadership in the research, development and implementation of supervisory models used to monitor risk in the financial system. These models include those used in bank stress testing as well as those used to track asset quality at the portfolio level and assess the ramifications of emerging risks on financial stability.
•Supporting Federal Reserve System DFAST and CCAR stress testing exercises
•Developing and implementing wholesale credit supervisory models and conducting empirical research to assess risk in wholesale lending activities of large bank holding companies
•Advise junior and senior modeling staff of the WCRC
Department Overview:
WCRC collects and analyzes portfolio risk data, provides a horizontal perspective of wholesale credit risk management practices and supports supervision of capital adequacy and stress testing for wholesale credit exposures.
Requirements:
•PhD in Economics with a track record of publication in peer reviewed journals.
•10-15 years’ experience credit risk modeling and/or risk management with a focus in model development, validation and use
•Econometric modeling with large datasets
•Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents with the intent to become U.S. Citizens
•Up to 25% travel is required
