Centre College invites applications for a tenure-track position in economics at the assistant professor level, any field, beginning August 2017. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in economics completed by August 2017. Teaching experience is strongly preferred. Ability to offer financial economics or empirical economics courses would be especially welcome.

The successful candidate will display a commitment to excellent teaching, scholarship, and mentoring undergraduates in a residential liberal arts college. In addition to field courses, the successful candidate will contribute core courses such as principles and intermediate theory courses to the major program. The program encourages applications from candidates who have experience teaching and mentoring a diverse student body with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
