The Department of Economics, Business, and Finance at Lake Forest College (www.lakeforest.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin fall 2017. The position requires a Ph.D. in economics or finance. Candidates holding an MBA in finance are eligible to apply for a non-tenurable position. Successful applicants will be able to teach core and elective courses in finance. Research in any field broadly related to finance is acceptable. Prior work experience in the finance industry would be valued. The teaching load is 3-3, though the number of preps is usually held to four. A fully-funded one-semester research sabbatical is available for tenure-track faculty after successful passage of the third-year review. Faculty members at Lake Forest College are expected to develop an active research agenda. Research must have potential for publication, and mentoring students in research is desired. Interested applicants can learn more about the department at www.lakeforest.edu/academics/programs/economics/.
A highly selective liberal arts college located on Chicago’s North Shore, Lake Forest College enrolls approximately 1,600 students from over 40 states and 70 countries.
