Full Text of JOE Listing:
Reporting to the Academic Director, the incumbent will identify questions and unsettled issues in important areas of public policy including tax, immigration, entitlements, households finance and regulation. Position combines insights from economic theory and large data sets to help provide advice for a large-scale federal microsimulation budget model and an integrated cutting-edge dynamic overlapping-generations model. We also highly encourage complementary independent research. Must be able to work with a team and under tight deadlines. PhD in Economics (especially applied theory, public economics, labor economics or econometrics) preferred, but strong candidates with MA/ABD degrees will be considered. Excellent research, writing and analytical skills required. Computer coding experience is very desirable, and candidates with software development experience are especially encouraged to apply.
