Successful candidate will exercise leadership at the college, university, state, national and international levels; advocate for departmental and college interests; serve as head of the economics department and also serve as head of the finance department; develop long-term strategic partnerships; implement fundraising and scholarship initiatives; oversee department operations; be responsible for developing a college-wide data analytics program; and teach one course each regular semester, with optional summer teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level in an area of expertise.

Requirements for the position include the following:
• PhD in Economics
• Distinguished record of teaching and scholarship that qualifies the candidate for a tenured appointment at the rank of full professor in the Department of Economics
• Distinguished record of service reflecting successful, positive, and collaborative leadership
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills
• An understanding of AACSB accreditation standards
• Ability to develop a college-wide data analytics program
